Worship & Prayer

The Divine Child High School community actively celebrates its faith together. Daily Mass is offered at 6:30 a.m. at Church of the Divine Child.  Our theology classes attend weekly Eucharistic Adoration and students are welcome to visit our school Chapel for a moment of quiet prayer during their busy day.

We also hold a number of prayer services and liturgies throughout the year, including the following:

  • PSO DCHS Family Liturgy
  • Spirit Week/Homecoming
  • All Saints Day
  • Immaculate Conception
  • Advent Liturgy of Remembrance
  • Catholic Schools Week
  • Ash Wednesday
  • Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Ceremony
  • End of Year Liturgy

Prayer Services

  • Junior Ring Day
  • Communal Penance with individual reconciliation
  • Stations of the Cross
  • May Crowning
  • Senior Farewell

Annual Retreats:

In addition to daily religious instruction, each student at Divine Child High School is afforded the privilege of participating in annual retreats aligned with their grade level’s theology curriculum.
Freshmen: God IS Love – focus on God’s Love and Creation
Sophomores: Respect for Oneself and Others – shaped around healthy relationships and God’s love, influenced by the Theology of the Body in Catholic Social Teaching
Juniors: Calling Us to Serve – the experience is themed around “Who are we called to serve?”
Seniors: How do We Serve God in the World? – a culmination of the retreat curriculum focused on finding strength in trusting God
