4 scouts from DC’s boy scout troop 1151 received the Ad Altare Dei religious medal, which is designed to help Catholic scouts develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community. It took the scouts over 8 month of hard work to earn. Pictured from left to right are: junior Tim Ciarelli, freshman Luke Ciarelli, Fr. Optimist ClubThe Dearborn Optimist Club awarded three Divine Child juniors the top three places in their annual essay contest. These students won a medal and a cash scholarship: 3rd place: Ryan Teevens, 2nd place: Val Vena, 1st place: Brianna Roach. Congrats!

Our students perform very well in the classroom each year.  Last year, over 85% of our students who took Advanced Placement exams received a score of 3, 4 or 5 which gives them college credit at most universities.  This compares favorably with 66% of the students in Michigan receiving A.P. credit, and 60% of students nationwide receiving credit.  Thirty percent of our current seniors have already earned credit in at least one college course thanks to the Advanced Placement offerings at Divine Child.

Over 60% of our Class of 2013 were offered one or more merit-based scholarships totaling over $7.5 million.  Most of these students were offered academic scholarships with other students receiving talent, athletic and/or leadership scholarships.  Our students were offered acceptances into many of the top universities throughout Michigan, the Midwest and the United States.

Our underclassmen do very well in their classes with a majority of our students earning Honor Roll status each year.  While Divine Child offers a demanding courseload, our students excel as they are surrounded by students who want to do well in school.

Whether your favorite classes are math, English, social studies, science, theology, languages, fine arts, applied arts, technical arts or physical education, we have strong programs just for you.
